- Eligibility
The raffle is open to legal residents of the United States who are at least eighteen (18) years of age at the time of entry. Employees of Opera Southwest and any individuals directly involved in the sale, administration, or conduct of the raffle are not eligible to participate. Members of the Opera Southwest Board of Directors and contracted artistic personnel (including singers, musicians, stage directors, and designers), and their immediate family members may participate, provided they pay full price and have no role in conducting or supervising the drawing. The raffle is void where prohibited by law. - Sponsor and Purpose
This raffle is conducted by Opera Southwest, a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization, to raise funds supporting its artistic and educational programming. Participation constitutes the entrant’s full and unconditional agreement to these Official Rules and the decisions of Opera Southwest, which are final and binding in all matters related to the raffle. - Ticket Sales and Price
Tickets are $100 each; or 4 for $300 on selected promotion dates. A maximum of 749 tickets will be sold. Tickets may be purchased through noon Mountain Time on December 31, 2025, or until sold out. All ticket sales are final; no refunds will be issued except in the event the raffle is canceled by Opera Southwest. - Drawing and Notification
The winning ticket will be drawn on December 31, 2025, during the Opera Southwest New Year’s Eve Concert at the National Hispanic Cultural Center in Albuquerque, New Mexico. Winner need not be present to win. The winner will be notified by phone and/or email within five (5) business days of the drawing. The winning ticket number will also be posted at operasouthwest.org/raffle. - Prize
The grand prize is a European trip for two (2) persons, designed and managed by All World Travel of Albuquerque, New Mexico. The trip includes approximately ten (10) days of travel, five-star hotel accommodations in Paris and Milan, opera tickets, guided tours, business class airfare and train travel, and selected meals. The itinerary will be custom-planned by All World Travel in consultation with the winner. Certain blackout dates apply, including major holidays and high-demand travel periods such as Milan Fashion Week. All travel must be completed within fifteen (15) months of the drawing. The estimated retail value of the trip is approximately $25,000–$30,000, subject to actual market conditions at the time of booking. There is no cash alternative. Opera Southwest reserves the right to modify specific travel arrangements while maintaining the overall value and nature of the prize.
- Taxes and Documentation
The winner is solely responsible for all applicable federal, state, and local taxes. Opera Southwest will issue an IRS Form W-2G as required by law. The winner must complete an IRS Form W-9 before the prize is awarded. The fair market value of the prize will be reported to the IRS as required. - Conditions and Limitations
By purchasing a ticket, participants agree to release and hold harmless Opera Southwest, its board, employees, agents, and contractors, and All World Travel, from any and all liability, loss, or damage arising from participation in the raffle or acceptance of the prize. Opera Southwest is not responsible for late, lost, misdirected, or invalid entries. Once travel arrangements are confirmed, changes or cancellations are subject to the policies of All World Travel and associated vendors. - Publicity
By accepting the prize, the winner grants Opera Southwest permission to use their name, likeness, and city/state of residence for promotional purposes without additional compensation, unless prohibited by law. - Cancellation or Modification
If fewer than 400 tickets are sold by December 15, 2025, Opera Southwest reserves the right to cancel the raffle and refund all ticket purchases in full. Opera Southwest also reserves the right to modify or terminate the raffle if fraud, technical failure, or any other factor impairs the integrity of the process. - Contact Information
