Opera Southwest Chorus and the New Mexico Symphonic Chorus Auditions will be held September 1, 2, & 3!

We have a thrilling, diverse season that calls for a big opera chorus this year!

• Pietro Mascagni’s passionate opera verissimo, “Cavalleria rusticana”
• Hector Armienta’s tender, sentimental setting of Rudolfo Anaya’s “The Farolitos of Christmas”
• Modest Mussorgsky’s dark, brooding masterpiece “Boris Godunov”
• Daniel Catán’s tragicomedy set in the Caribbean during WWII, “Salsipuedes”

In addtion to opera, we have a delightful and powerful season of glorious choral music this year!

• Hector Berlioz’ beloved sacred oratorio “L’Enfance du Christ”
• New Year’s Eve Concert with Opera Southwest, featuring popular opera chorus selections
• Ludwig van Beethoven’s supreme masterpiece “Symphony No.9 in D Minor”, performed in Spanish!
