On March 14, 2027, the Chorus returns with Beethoven’s Symphony No. 9 — performed in Spanish. The Spanish-language Masterworks series has become one of the most talked-about series in the country, and for good reason: it works. Following the resounding success of Handel’s Mesias and Brahms’ Requiem in Spanish, it was only a matter of time before the Ninth, with its universalist message, found its place in this tradition.
