David Bartholomew

Director of Artistic Operations and Principal Stage Director

David Bartholomew has spent the last forty years as Artistic Director and/or Stage Director for opera companies from coast to coast. His leadership has brought infinitely greater artistic quality to his companies and more excitement and style to his productions.

Mr. Bartholomew’s past positions include Artistic Director of the Tacoma (WA) Opera, Department Chair of the New England Conservatory of Music and Head of the Opera Department for the University of Nebraska. He has directed at Wolf Trap, the Boston Lyric Opera, the Colorado Music Theatre Festival, Western Opera Theatre and the opera companies of Fargo-Moorhead, Eugene, and Mobile.
